Tips for Dealing with Toddlers
I thought I had more time to enjoy my baby before he hit the Terrible Twos. I always thought that phase would start sometime after Hendrick's second birthday. Apparently it doesn't work that way, and I'm not ashamed to tell you I was completely unprepared when he threw his first temper tantrum a few months ago.
I found a Web site that contains a list of helpful hints by Dr. Laura Markham on how to deal with your toddler and his often uncooperative self. I think her advice makes a lot of sense and is worth reading.
Good luck.

Having 4 children, I agree with all of her tips, except #2. Toys are meant to be played with. What does putting favorite toys away when friends come over teach a child? Posessions (things) are more important than relationships. I'd rather them have a good friend than a favorite toy. And we wonder why our society is SO materialistic.
