New Autism Study
A new study shows that autism can be detected in children as young as 14 months old. Experts had believed that the autism spectrum could not be diagnosed until 3 years old, and since early intervention is critical, this is big news.

Thank you for the article. Until the cause of autism can be discovered there will be a lot of hand wringing when moms and dads take their little ones for vaccinations.
The advice given in the article was good. New parents must be on the look out for signs, and unfortunately, may overlook them because of either denial (not my child) or inexperience.
I didnot see the signs in my own daughter, even the obvious ones like hand flapping (they're not obvious if you don't know they're one of the signs!) because I was so enamored with her.
She has a "touch" of Aspergers. More like a paint brush stroke. She's doing fine, and has grown up so well...
